Gary Reed has written a great article addressing the use of terms such as “assault weapon” and “Saturday night special.” Here is one of the more humerus quotes:
“Hometown Herald – A pair of assault thugs stole a Ford Saturday Night Special Crew Cab and drove it through the front door of the Saturday Nyte Special 99 Cent Store. They attacked the ATM with an assault crowbar, but the shop owner drove them off with a small self-defense assaultin’ pepperbox revolver.”
I live in a Saturday night special apartment. It does save me some money, but the need to defend my self from assault people is there. My choice of anti assault weapons are a 40S&W handgun and a 12 gauge pump action assault shotgun. I keep both loaded with non Saturday special ammunition. I hope to never use my scary black guns in a counter assault against a assaulting person or persons, butt I’ll rater have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
I have an all black handgun (two if you count the .22LR). I wonder if the anti-gun politicians will try to ban it because it looks scary and has no "sporting" purpose to them?
