As reported, two armed robbers entered Larry’s Game Room in Atascosa County, TX and began by firing a shoot into the ceiling. The men then demanded money, while forcing a female employee to the floor and pointing a shotgun at her. The business owner heard the robbery and emerged from a back room with his .40 caliber pistol. He fatally shot the shotgun-toting robber in the head, at which point the other robber (who had a pistol) fled.
Once again, guns save lives and stop crime. Had this business owner been unarmed, he, his employee, and the customers might have ended up shot like this deli owner, this bakery worker, or this woman, as criminals often shoot even those victims who cooperate fully.
Instead, the business owner was armed, and was able to shoot the robber who was holding an employee at gunpoint, resulting in no injury to the employee. The criminal who was shot will never again be able to victimize innocent people, and the surviving criminal will hopefully be apprehended for his attempted crime. Best of all, the innocent customers and employees will go home to their families – unharmed.
