I’m taking the Illinois bar exam Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, so I won’t be posting anything new until Monday, August 3rd. I’ll also be unable to moderate comments or answer emails during this time. But rest assured, any comments/emails will be attended to upon my return.
An interesting note: Since I’ll be taking the bar exam in Chicago, where it is a misdemeanor to have a handgun or an unregistered shotgun/rifle, this will be the first time in quite a while that I won’t have a self defense gun on hand.
It is painfully obvious that Chicago’s criminals ignore those gun bans, and Chicago’s police are unable to protect its citizens. Sadly, Chicago politicians and so-called civil rights leaders continue to push for these laws, which only server to disarm victims. While I believe it is statistically unlikely that I’ll suffer violent attack by criminals during the couple of days that I stay in Chicago to take the bar exam, it is sill unnerving that I’ll be without a means of defending myself or my loved ones while in the “murder capitol” of the United States.
If they allowed dangerous people, like your self, carry loaded, lethal, weapons they would not be number one…

Good luck on your exam, and stay away from dark alleys
Good luck on the bar! And may you be safe while there.
I thoroughly enjoy your posts and have learned a lot. I look forward to more posts from an "official" lawyer. 😉

Good luck on the bar exam!
Greetings Editor,
I wanted to Quickly write and wish you all the best and good luck on your up coming bar exams. I understand how challenging these exams are, and am very glad that I am not in your shoes. It was enough of a challenge for me to attain a Masters of Criminal Justice, let alone the thought of law school and later the bar exam, because it would be more than my central nervous system could stand.
My hat is off to you, and I again wish you all the best on this endeavor.
Sincerely and respectfully,
G.W.

Thank you all, and I'm happy to report that I took the bar exam and am now back home in Iowa.
Now I just get to spend the next couple of months waiting for the results 🙂
