As reported, a Houston, Texas tire shop owner used his handgun to save himself from four armed and violent robbers.
Police say that four armed criminals attempted to rob the El Mante Tire Shop on the 11000 block of Bauman Road at about 8:30 PM last Wednesday. Fearing for his life, the store owner drew his lawfully carried handgun and fatally shot one of the robbers, according to police. The three surviving robbers are said to have fled in a black SUV, leaving the store owner unharmed.
Once again, concealed carry has allowed a law abiding person who was going about their peaceful business to defend themselves against multiple attackers. Had this man not been armed, he could have been harmed by the robbers for not having enough money to steal, or perhaps just because the robbers felt like hurting someone that day. Make no mistake about it – robbery is a violent crime against a person’s body and life, not just a taking of their property. As such, robbery victims are legally and morally entitled to defend themselves with deadly force.
