As reported, a grandfather from Missouri used his handgun to save himself and his 2 month old grandson from two armed and masked burglar:
The grandfather was in his house, babysitting his grandson, when the intruders kicked in the door and rushed inside, brandishing knives. Grabbing his .357 Magnum revolver, the grandfather reportedly fired at both intruders, hitting at least one of the men and sending them both fleeing. One of the intruder dove out of bedroom window in his haste to escape, according to reports. Police say they were called to a home just four miles from the burglary where they found one shot man, who is expected to live. So far, at least one arrest has been made and police continue to investigate the home invasion, police say.
This is yet another successful example of armed self defense, which occurs about 2.5 million times each year in the USA. Had this grandfather not been armed, he and his grandson could have been killed or seriously harmed by the home invader – as happens all too often. Fortunately, this grandfather was armed, and as a result survived unharmed.
