As reported, a concealed carry permit holder used his gun to stop a robber who had just killed a man at a party:
Police say that around midnight, a robber who was unknown to the party goers entered an apartment on the 5900 block of Northwest Drive in Dallas, Texas, armed with a handgun, and demanded everyone’s money. When one of the victims, reportedly identified as 35 year old Tracey Moore, struggled with the robber, the robber shot Moore dead, prompting a concealed carry permit holder to draw his own gun and shoot the robber, according to police. A suspect, reportedly identified as 28 year old Darvis Dervon Young, was found dead from a gunshot wound at the scene, police say.
The value of concealed carry should yet again be apparent. Had there not been an armed citizen in the area, many more people could have ended up murdered by the violent robber. Fortunately, there was an armed citizen nearby, and the robber was prevented from harming additional victims. Simply put, armed self defense works – as both the statistical and anecdotal evidence makes clear.
