Police say that at around 8:00 PM, a 30 year old woman was asleep at home with her two children in Midwest City, OK, while her husband was working at the Tinker Air Force Base. The woman reportedly awoke to the sound of a loud noise, which she initially thought was an earthquake, but soon realized was a home invasion. Fearing for the safety of her children, the woman is said to have grabbed a handgun and fired at the two suspects she saw in her living room, striking both of them. One suspect died on the scene, while the other injured suspect fled on foot and was arrested by police shortly thereafter, according to news reports. No injuries to the woman or her children were reported.
