As reported, an armed citizen used his handgun to stop three men who attempted to rob him and a friend at gunpoint:
Police say that three robbers approached two would-be victims in a parking lot around 10:0pm in Houston, Texas, near the intersection of Medfield Drive and Dairy Ashford Road. The robbers are said to have demanded the men’s wallets and valuables, while threatening their lives with a gun. One of the would-be victims reportedly had a Concealed Handgun License, and was carrying his handgun at time. That armed citizen drew his pistol and shot two of the robbers, according to police. News reports indicate that one robber died from his wounds, another robber was injured and listed in critical condition at a local hospital, and the third robber who was not shot ended up being hit by a passing car as he fled on foot. No injuries to the armed citizen or his friend were reported, and police are seeking the third robber.
Here we have yet another concealed carry permit holder who was saved by their gun. Had this crime victim not had a gun for self defense, he could have been seriously injured or killed by the robbers who outnumbered him and his friend. Luckily, he was armed, and as a result managed to escape this robbery attempt unharmed.
